Back from our Italian holidays.
We had a lovely trip to Italy, and since my wife likes very much the
Portofino line, the idea was to take a picture of her wrist, wearing one of
her Portofino's in front of the city sign of Portofino.
So we decided first which one to take.
We decided to go for the Laureus, a beautiful one, in steel, so more under the
radar for a trip than a gold one.
First we did visit Florence, what a beautiful city. But... when arriving the
first night, my wife saw she left the Portofino on the bed side table...
Luckely for her, and the photoshoot I was planned to do, we picked up
something on the way, related to Italy to put on her wrist. The ladies Da Vinci
in gold with the extremely rare mother of pearl dial, a surprise gift from me
to her for her coming birthday.
So of to Portofino. As I don't have a Portofino in my collection, me too had
to do with an IWC with a relation to Italy, the Ingenieur tribute to Italy,
lim edition of 150 pieces.
Some time ago for the launch of the new Portofino line, IWC teamed up with
photographer Peter Lindbergh. They made a wonderful book with portrets of
friends of the brand, such as Cate Blanchett, Emily Blunt, Karolina
Kurkova, Adriana Lima, Ewan McGregor, and Christoph Waltz.
So my idea was to have some fun and to re-enact some of the pictures taken by
Peter Lindbergh and the stars...
I hope you like the effort ;)
Greetings
from Portofino, for sure a place I like and want to come back.
