So I've been a watch aficionado for a few years now. I've owned a few watches, some vintage stuff, a Heuer, and a Submariner, but have had my eye on IWC for quite awhile. I quickly came to the realization that IWC would be my favorite brand: the charm, the prestige, the look, the history, the versatility of their lines, the whole engineered for men campaign, it's all always just sung to me substantially more than any other brand has been able to. As most would I looked at the Pilot and Portuguese lines as my first piece and after close to 2 years, countless hours of research, and many boutique visits I got myself the Portuguese Chrono 3714-45 (white/silver dial, gold hands). I can honestly say that in my personal opinion, I don't think a more beautiful dial has ever been made, and it doesn't hurt that the 7750 movement although not totally in house is an absolute reliable workhouse. Like most of you here I have a true passion for watchmaking and IWC tops my list with no question. Proud to own this watch, and will be wearing it on a daily basis for god knows how long if not forever. Just wanted to kind of welcome my self to the IWC owners club! Hope everyone is having a good day
