GREAT AUCTION IWC FOR WWW.AGAINSTCANCER.NL

BUT PLEASE LET ME EXPLAIN…..

The 23th we had the annual GOLF AGAINST CANCER competition
golfagainstcancer.nl that I organize to raise money for survivors and their families at golf course: Scherpenberg (Lieren).

What does Against Cancer do? The Foundation exists from 2004. We help families with a child that has been affected by cancer (I call them ‘survivors’) to forget their worries for a moment. Our active target group survivors in the age to 18 years. Goal is to raise money with which the Foundation helps families with a survivor a few days out. We organize major events such as the annual track day on TT-circuit in Assen (NL) or the weekend Disney (FR) or Warner Bross Movieworld (BRD).

To raise money we have an AUCTION for he visitors present at the location…..
and RICHEMONT (RLG Europe BV ) IWC donated us:

A COOL IWC COLLECTORSBOX (6 watches)

Made of Macassar wood, with leather inlay on cover and beige Camosho leather with brand logo on the inside. Comes with outer white IWC box and sheet.

Mark Levinsohn had a brilliant idea to auction the box within the Forum members (He and I both knew some of you would like to sponsor the good cause but are not present at the golf course).
And guess what at the end the gifts for the box went SKY HIGH(!)

THX IWC RICHEMONT for donating this brilliant item, and Mark for your help and hopefully we’ll get another gift for againstcancer next year.

It was a pleasure to have helped generate some "internal IWC Collector" noise and excitement amongst a group of friends, and as you see the guys opened their hearts and their wallets to help a good cause.

Some went the extra mile and donated generously, without actually entering a bid - and some did both. I understand from Bas, who managed the bidding process, that 3 bidders aggressively pursued the auction, with strong competition amongst them, and in the end, there was a one winner who outbid the others by a significant amount.
