To my American friends of the forum, may I wish you a happy 4th of July.

I happened to have taken today off from work, and took my family to a local Hong Kong tourists' attraction, Ocean Park, for a day.

Let me share with you some of the (albeit lousy) photos that I took!

    1. Doing some last minute preparation (by checking out its web-site) before heading off to the park:
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dc6ceb046e00000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    2. Got there a bit late (later than I have anticipated). I must say I have not really set foot in this park for years. Going to this park was one of every Hong-kong kid's dream:
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dd046b249600000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    3. Promised my son that I would show him some sharks. Heading towards to the aquarium:
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dcb128c56b00000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    4. Saw lots of sardines... perhaps more than I have ever seen at any given time (including from the supermarkets):
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dc54e8854100000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    5. A hammer shark!
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0ddaf69e56900000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    6. well... I am fully equipped... with a watch that matched the occasion. Look, I wouldn't dare wearing anything but a watch that has a 2000m water resistance rating to an aquarium... ;-)
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dc81b144da00000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    7. Spider crabs!
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dca2bf856d00000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    8. well... nice water fountain:
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dc226804ca00000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    9. waiting for my sons while they were having fun at the carousel. (a bit dark, I know)
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dc27de44e600000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    10. just to show that I really WAS at the carousel... waiting...
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dcbec6042a00000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    11. and waiting some more...
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dc9da6c5f300000040O10EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D1/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    12. nostalgia...
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dc66d1856100000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    13. where to go next...?
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dccd03444e00000040O10EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D1/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    14. how 'bout taking a ride on the new Ocean Express to the other side of the park?
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dda11ee51900000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    15. at the other side of the park, I checked out a place where they kept all their jelly-fishes... and boy, did my watch glow!
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dd2d88e5c900000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    16. again, putting my watch where it belonged... :-)
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dd825424ea00000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    17. pardon me... but as I couldn't use my flash, and the relatively poor camera of my smart-phone didn't really help either... let me give it another try:
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dddd04e53d00000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    18. ohh!! I kept on taking photos of my watch, I almost forgot to take photos of the jelly-fishes!
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dc95e4c5b500000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    19. another shot... (of my watch)
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dc35dec5df00000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    20. see... jelly fish!im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dd0950e50300000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    21. I went to see some giant pandas as well...
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dd58d7240400000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    22. I felt embarrassed when I asked my sons to check out this "raccoon". Turned out it was a form of pandas called "red pandas" or simply known as "fire-fox":
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dc2435049400000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    23. another shot of the raccoo... I mean the fire-fox:
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dc8d53443e00000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    24. giant panda chewing on her bamboo shoots:
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dd46a1a54d00000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    25. a distant cousin of some supposedly pre-historic creature, that is still alive today:
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0ddf03b24bc00000040O10EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D1/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    26. a shot from top of the park, where it overlooked at some good scenery of Hong Kong:
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dc784e85f100000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    27. A funny looking gold fish:
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dd677fe51b00000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    28. ahh... cable cars. The only means of transportation within the park for decades before they recently introduced the Ocean Express.
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dc640e85bf00000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    29. What a day. It has been very exhausting yet fulfilling. My kids had load of fun. So... what's for dinner?
      im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a2d925b3127ccef0dd504ca5ab00000030O00EZOGjhqxYtAe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

    Have a nice day!

    KS (Low),

Just so you know, although I didn't dive, I could still wear my aquatimer and take under-water shots with some sea creatures, like you would! ;-)

If only I had a Deep One or Two...

Nice way to spend the day with your AT. First time I have ever seen a Firefox, and not the browser.

same here... that was the very first thought of mine (regarding the firefox) when I first read the sign, and learned that it was not a raccoon.

Boy, when I went home, I attempted to do a search on google for firefox... all that came up was information on the browser, not the animal!
