    Hi Adrian
I know very little about this watch. I bought it because I rather liked it, and because of its connection with Schaffhausen.
I do not know if it is a men's or a woman's watch but your premise that it has the movement of a woman's pocket watch makes sense, as the first wristwatches used movements from women's pocket watches.
I am inclined to think it is a men's watch because the day/date complication would be unusual in a woman's wristwatch in 1917.

Adrian, another highly educational and interesting article - as we have over the years become accustomed too from you.

    A great read.

Thanks Adrian for the excellent and informative article.
This HM calendar wristwatch from 1917 was probably one the last watches sold to the Russian market before the 17 October revolution.

Very interesting watch and information, thanks Antonio.

    Regards

    Heiko

Very interesting article, thank you! So, 150 years ago, HM was the more succesful of the two men by far. At the moment IWC is a more sucessful company than Moser, how things can change overtime!

    Kind regards,
    Paul

It would be great if there was a way to easily access all of these types of posts. Is it not possible to add a section with links to threads like this for easy reference? It's a great read but in a week or two it will disappear from the first two pages of threads which seems a real shame.

Appreciate that. I need all the help I can get. At my age, I forget things quickly. LOL again.
