Greetings! After years of waiting I finally took the plunge and am the proud owner of a fantastic Pilot's Chrono Automatic. ref 3717. I now understand why people build up collections of these unbelievable watches...I'm already wondering how I can work towards getting my next one!

Anyway just have a small question... I have noticed the watch is running maybe 8 seconds slow after about a week, and while this is not a massive amount, I have heard somewhere that while IWC watches can usually run a few seconds FAST, they should in fact NEVER be slow... Is this correct? Is it anything to worry about or should I stop worrying about such a small matter.

    any words of wisdom appreciated!

    Regards.

Welcome to the forum.... As to your ....

question. Any mechanical watch that is holding about a second a day in either direction is about as good as you can expect. After a few weeks you may notice further improvement. But so far this is a fine performance.
    You can stop worrying.

    Don't worry, be happy ,-)

A wonderful watch. One second / day is a fabulous value. After running in for a while it can settle / change a little bit.
Congratulations and a warm welcome to the forum!
