As some of you know, I am a pocketwatch collector too.
If have a few early Jones calibers in my collection and I am very happy to
have found these.
In 2005 IWC launched a wristwatch with a new caliber in honour of Florentine
Ariosto Jones, the ref 5442. The handwound movement ( cal 98290 ) has the
typical "arrow" as
the first Jones calibers.
At that time, I really wanted the wristwatch too in my collection. The watches
were limited editions in steel, gold and in platinum.
Mine is in steel, limited to 3000 pieces.
But as it sometimes goes, no Jones wristwatch came in the collection, always
was there another one that jumped in ... Until this week.
