My name is Valentin and I am interested in pocket watches.
Recently I have managed to get an IWC and the details from the serials that I
got were as follows
The movement is a LÈp. calibre 73, dating from the year 1923.
The case was most probably produced resp. delivered around 1920.
Valid entry in "Index of Movement Numbers"
1923 786,101-787,300 Lep. c. 73 - 17lig. H 4
Of course I'd appreciate more informations about this

Sorry I can't offer anything further about the watch than you already culled
from the Date Your IWC site. I do believe IWC offers an extract from their
records, but I believe it involves sending the watch for inspection and,
naturally, paying a fee. Fees and Waiting are not among my favorite things!
Hopefully the pocket watch specialists will have something more to offer with
regard to information about it.

Re other information.
I have asked the seller about this piece's history and unfortunately he could
not help. Maybe there are records with the customers?
In my wildest dreams :), I'd find out more about IWC in 1920 and 1923, its
directors, watchmakers and maybe if I'm really lucky pictures with the
workbench and the building in which this amazing timepiece was made.

I wonder where I can find a pocket watch holder whose design
-keep the watch in the vertical position,
-expose it from one direction as a table clock,
-offer a lid that will protect it during transportation.
For the beginning I intend to make a 3d printed version of it and when ideas
get mature a different more solid version of it.
I have some pocket watches and keeping them in drawers or even worse in
precarious positions on different holders that don't fit them too well seems
too dangerous for me,
