Help ID my "new" vintage IWC

I'm relatively new to the vintage watch world, but loving it.

Recently I've recieved this IWC

The movement number is 1062330 and the case number is 1093798.

From what I've seen here moeb.on-rev.com/dyIWC/dyIWC.irev the movement
is from 1942 and the case probably from 1944, so the watch is considered from
1944 ?

Could you tell me if this watch is an early version of the "portuguese" ?

Also the wings of the case are strange, they are up side down???, is this
usual ?

Congratulations on a very nice watch.

In answer to your question, no it's not an early Portuguese, it is in fact a
Cal 83.

As to the upside down appearance of the lugs, I have no answer for that.

We do not discuss values here, but you can search the Internet for Cal 83
watches of similar age and you will get an idea
