Dear IWC / Forum Members,
I would kindly ask your help identifying a friend's IWC pocket watch.
I believe the case is made of silver and it has International Watch Company written on the dial (which seems porcelain).
There are no inscriptions on the case back, and neither on the inside of it.
The movement is marked with a serial number of 363208.
The IWC PROBUS SCAFUSIA round marking is present in the movement.
Uppon inserting it "Date your IWC" applet pointed out on this forum for identification, it returns the following:
LÈp. calibre 52, dating from the year 1906.
I'm not sure if the serial number is meant to be input as "movement number".
Any information on this model and history would be much apprecitated. If there is any idea on what a pocket watch like this could cost at the time would be interesting to know too.
I have created a Dropbox picture album with some pictures to help on the identification task.
Detailed Pictures are located here: goo.gl/s94Ttf
Thank you in advance for your help.
Kind Regards from sunny Lisbon, Portugal
Pedro
