    Hello all,
Im a watch interested person that try to pass this passion on to my wife. So I bought her this watch without knowing anything about it. I guess I got her hocked because she would love to know all or anything about it. Thank you!

    Welcome to the Forum

The watch appears to be a Reference 9955.

The case shape and dial is similar to the following from the Watch International series on wristwatch movements.

So I suspect your wife's watch also has a Calibre 431 movement.

The movement number and case number will provide an approximate production range using Date You IWC. If you do not know how to safely open the watch (your wife probably will not be happy if you put a big scratch across it), please get a watchmaker to open the case for you. Record both the movement and case number and date it using the above link.

    Cheers from the cellar

Thanks a lot Cellar! Great information that I could not find anywhere on the net. Is it possible to estimate a value on such a unusual watch?
