    Hi,

    I looking at below watch and wanted to check if anyone can help me identifying
    it:-)

    from 1949

    case size 34,5 case-back number 1158467

    movement cal 88 marked IWC number 1123735

    I can't find any info or similar watches so naturally I wonder: is it
    authentic and original and of course, what I can expect from the movement?

    Thanks!

    //Nicholas

    Indeed a Cal 88 and the numbers match up. According to DATE MY IWC Movement
    dates to 1946 and Case 1948.

    I suspect that the dial has been repainted, or at least the subsecond
    register. Seconds hand is replaced.

    Cal 88 is a fantastic movement, reliable and rugged. It is similar to
    legendary Cal 89, only with small seconds.

    It was produced from 1946 to 1964
