Help identifying a watch

A friend of mine has an old watch and has asked me to help identify it. I only
have one picture at the moment but any help would be appreciated.

The watch you show is a Cal 89 and I think Ref 371 from 1940s to Early 1950s.

To confirm anything, we would need to see the movement and inside caseback
engravings.
