Hello to all,
I work in a consignment shop and we received an old timepiece that I need your help with. Here are the specifics. No crystal. Enamel face reads International Watch Co. in script. Nothing else on face. Hands missing. When I open the outer back it reads K 14 inside a rectangle with scrolled ends. In the center is what appears to be a squirrel facing right. Below the 'K 14' stamp are three numbers 7 5 2. Is this piece 14 karat gold? 18 karat?
The outside of the inner back reads International (in script) Watch Co. (in block) in an arched rectangle. Below is a blank rectangle (for engraving?). The inner back cover has the word METAL, the initials J.F., the numbers 7 5 2, and C5423. The inside of the works is the serial number (?) 2011218 (it may be 2044248) and International Watch Co. in script. Part of the movement is etched and has an arrow and an 'S'. Can anyone help me with it's approximate age and whether or not it's gold? Thank youHow do I attach pictures? it just asks for a URL. Can't I browse to my SD card?
