Hi forum members! I just joined and am located in Manila.
After a long search, I finally found the dream watch I have been hunting for a long time, a pre-owned Portofino Ref 353303 white dial on SS bracelet in great condition that meets my budget. See below.
I have paid a deposit to secure watch from a government licensed pre-owned dealer but before closing sale, I need to ensure that I can buy 3-4 spare links for this bracelet ref IWA16751 (at a reasonable cost) to fit my wrist (~6.8 inches) to avoid paying for a watch that I cannot wear.
I called IWC Southeast Asia but they said model too old and that they can not help me and have to send watch to IWC HQ in Switzerland to check but cannot guarantee if links available nor how much it costs.
As you can imagine, I am between a rock and a hard place. Let this one go? Buy links first before closing sale? Or buy watch in hope that I can get the links later--at a reasonable price. I do not have experince on how much these spare links cost per piece. As you can imagine, if they are like USD100 per piece, then the additional 300-400USD would blow the budget and make the purchase unworkable for me.
Do any forum members have experience/advice in getting the spare links for SS bracelet (ref IWA16751) in Manila, what cost looks like, etc.
Any help/advice from Forum members would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
