Can an expert say something about the dial/hands? I know it looks very white
for its age but i talked to the dealer and he said thats because of the
lighting of the photo (i'm going to check it out in the flesh in a few days
and will take a closer look) what irritates me more is that it looks like the
dial has lume plots but the hands dont, wich doesnt make sense..

Looks OK to me.
I have a caliber 853 with exactly the same case and the same dial, except for
the lume plots which my watch doesn't have. It comes fresh out of service at
Schaffhausen and with Certificate.
Upon service, IWC changed the hands. Before servicing, it had exactly the same
hands as your watch, also without lume. I personaly definetly prefered the old
hands (same as yours), but probably they had to be exchanged...

yeah i'm guessing that they replaced the luminous hands with non lumonious
when it was serviced. I perosnally like the hands without lume more because it
is a cleaner look but the inconsistency of lume/no lume annoys me..
I also like the dauphine hands more than the slim ones, kinda sad they changed
it on your watch..
Dont you think it's odd that the hands dont have lume? I know there are
versions with lume on the dial and hands and versions without lume anywhere
but lume on the dial and not the hands (not even the other way around, wich
would make a bit more sense)..
Im guessing they changed it when the watch was serviced abd didnt pay
attention or didnt have the luminous ones at hand..

Totally different dials...different signatures, different baton types and
different surface finish....
I would'nt worry about the lume if the dial is devoid of shellac on close
inspection ( new hands wont straighten)....especially given the case also
looks short of factory finish.
