    Hi Michalke
Your watch is an IWC Cal 89 dating to 1955.
The Ref number may or may not be stamped on the inside of the caseback.

This model had a very long lifespan and came in many dial and hand conbinations.

It appears to be in nice original condition

Very nice and classic vintage IWC. Great lugs on the watch too.

My advice is to get it serviced by a competent watchmaker and enjoy wearing it. Of course, if you want it to look like s brand new watch you could send it to Schaffhausen for a SPA service and it will be returned to you as it was the Dat it originally left the manufacturer 60 years ago - new like. Not cheap but certainly worth it (if you want a "new" watch.

The knowledge lies deep in the dungeons- very glad to see someone moved it to the capable hands of the CellerMaster - and I for one am very glad to see the Cellar master out here sharing the knowledge.

I would appreciate your assistance with vintage stainless steal IWC watch. It seems to be a very early model with the dial touches up. Is it authentic? How do I determine the model etc. I picked it up in an estate auction from a big collector at what I hope is a decent price. Any assistance would be super helpful. Thanks kindly!
