I just purchased this 2403 to factory restore and change to a leather band. The SS bracelet is nice, just not the look I'm going for. But the problem is I can't get the bracelet off....I brought it to IWC in New York and they said they will only restore to original condition, they will not modify a watch...and have no watchmaker on staff to attempt to remove it. So my question is, how in the world to get this bracelet off in order to send it to be restored with a new leather strap?? Is it even possible? It seems soldered, and no pins are visible.. Maybe I am missing something. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I believe that in the past, some bracelets ( gold and steel ones ) were attached to the case. So removing them is difficult without damaging the case.

I like it on that bracelet, it looks like it is in good shape. You likely will not be able to re-install it in the same condition.

Thanks Tonny and Ben. Ive had confirmation from my jeweler that it is indeed soldered on..standard procedure for many vintage Milanese bracelets apparently. Not impossible to remove, but they say a leather strap on it will never look quite right once the case has been modified... Ive since returned it and will apply the balance towards another model. Thanks again.
