Im sure this has been discussed to many times to count, but I just cant find the info I need. In a nutshell I picked up two new Big Pilots.

    This one

And a new black dial to match. Couldn't be happier. The short end of the strap is just a little too short for my liking. The pin is in the 3rd to last hole and this summer it will be on the second. I want it to be on the 5th in the winter and 4th in the summer so just a little longer. Is there a way for me to order a longer short side in the two OEM straps. Thanks for any help.

Hello Mr. Wink and congrats on a very nice pair of pilots! These deployant straps are available in different sizes so an XL strap could be ordered but you may have to purchase a complete strap with both sides (I highly doubt you can get just the short side only). If you purchased the watches at an AD, they may have been able to switch out the straps for a larger size at no cost but most likely cannot exchange straps that have been worn.

Thanks Ben. Do you know on a XL strap are both sides longer, is just the short side longer or is just the long side longer.

    Wink,

If deployant strap length options follow the same as "Pin" buckle straps, BOTH ends will be longer or shorter depending on what size you choose.

That said, I am between a short and regular length strap for a comfortable fit. One trick I have used with success for Pin straps is when I need that half to full hole additional lengh, I MIX the ends of a regular and short strap. It provides just enough extra length to make the difference I need. I believe this would also work with deployant straps. Your AD or Boutique can probably try this mixing technique during your visit and you will then be able to see if this works to your satisfaction.

Hope this helps as a possible alternative. Would like to hear the results should you go this route.

    Best of Luck,

    Andy
