Help with determining the model

For my wedding, I was given my grandfather's watch, which he bought and repaired himself during his apprenticeship. Unfortunately, he himself has little information about it, which is why I am turning to you here in the forum.

I would be interested to know what year the watch is from and whether there is any additional information about this model. Unfortunately, I didn't really find anything about it. According to a list of serial numbers I found from the internet, it should be a watch made in 1951. Is that right? The serial number is 1253069 if you can't see it exactly in the photo.

I would be very glad and thankful if you could help me find some more information about this watch, because the watch is very close to my heart.

The Date Your IWC app info indicates the likely producton date is around 1952. If you can open the case or have a watchmaker do so, give us the movement number and more details may be avilabe.
