    Hello

My dad left me his golden IWC watch which he bought in 1980 for 10'000 CHF.

First of all, could you help me with the Model, as I can't find a single
similar one online to tell me more.

Further I got it valuated by a juwelier in Switzerland and he told me that it
is only worth 2500 CHF. I can barely believe that as it has no signs being
used. He only wore it to a few very special occasions. I got the original
papers and the box. Any idea if that is an
adiquate price or would i be selling it under its value?

And last but not least, where would I sell a watch like this without paying
    silly provision fees?

    Thank you for your help.

Your father had good taste in watch styles. He selected a very stylish piece
    when he purchased this watch.

Unfortunately the movement is quartz and that type movement has little value
    today for most folks.

The watch is worth the value of the gold content and not much more.

I am by no means an expert and just offering an opinion.

A very cool watch with the case/bracelet/dial design and integration. I also
agree that, unfortunately, these quartz watches do not have great value and
your estimate from the jeweler is fair.
