Good afternoon, I have a very old IWC movement — a Caliber 83. I would like to know where I could buy parts to restore it, and if anyone can help me find more information about the watch, such as the original case, the strap color, etc. The serial number is: 1102103

    Hi Bruno,

Your Caliber 83 movement was manufactured in 1945. There is no simple answer to your question of where you can get spare parts. There are parts in stock at the IWC factory, but they are not sold to the public. If you want a complete restoration, you will have to send in the complete watch. Since you don't have a case, they probably won't accept the movement. The only option is to look for or buy the missing parts on the known online platforms. I think this will be a costly endeavor. The cost of the restoration will not be covered by the market value of the restored watch.

Hello Bruno...the other option if you have acquired the mvmnt for cheaps..is to treat yourself to a nice untouched c.83 and box and place the movement in the box for future donor transplants
