    Hi all,

I have a 1960s IWC as shown, which has been sitting in it's box for 4 months.

i have fully wound the watch and it started well, though every few hours, the
watch stops, with the second hand stopping over the minute hand.

Could someone please offer advice as to remedying this issue?

    Best, Matthew

    Hi Matthewl,

sounds like the second hand interferes with the minute hand. This happens when
there is to little space between the corresponding hands. Could be that the
hands have not been mounted perfectly during the last service. Could also be
that one of the hands have been bent a little. A normal watchmaker should be
able so correct that issue swiftly.

    Hi Matthewl,

i think i found a sibling in my watch box.

really like the classic appeal and the extraordinary movement. Not bad for 50
    years of operation.
