Hi, I am very new to the site and have been having a look around. I am a novice collector or should i say wearer and am extremely interested in your opinions on the Big Pilots Watch (black face and strap).
I currently wear a Panerai Daylight, Brietling Navitimer and have a couple of older watches that are now very seldom worn.

I am currently saving for my next purchase of a black faced / strapped watch and have always asspired to own a IWC and the big pilot looks great and just what i want.

    Thanks for any opinions

    Simon

    Welcome Simon

This is a great place as you probably already found out. The Big Pilot (or BP as we usually call it) is an iconic watch from IWC. It is a great watch and since you are used to bigger watches (if I am correct the Panerai Daylight is 44 mm) the BP probably won't be a problem. I do suggest you go and check it out, it's quite an impressive watch.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

    I agree with clemens...

... Before I bought my BP I was looking Panerai Luminor Marina as a cheaper alternative.

I finally went for BP and I can assure you this watch is stunning in metal. Go and try it on your AD.

    The BP is a 'must have' watch > > > >

......in any IWC collection, much like the Fiddy in a Panerai collection.

I find the BP to be very versatile and I wear it from the work-week to the week-end!!!!

    Keep us posted!

If something like a "must have watch" exist.....

for an IWC collector is probably a BP, so Nad is RIGHT!

    Cheers,
