I must be really backward as I hardly believe that mobile camera technology has improved to this extend. This is a series of casual macros I took of my IWC PPC with only a Samsung Note3 smartphone and clip on macro-lens! Couldn't believe the details that this small device is able to capture. I strongly recommend everyone to get this 15 bucks device for your camera-phone!

and this is the clip-on lens. Yes, only this tiny thing and that's all it takes!

    Actually quiet scary!

I now see that the you have some significant wear on the drive gear of the 3rd pinion.

    :~)

Amazing photos - every detail visible.

Pretty amazing picture quality and detail. I remember when camera's first came out on phones and people never thought they would be very good quality. Things change.

    Cheers,

More... This time on my RG IWC Portuguese Chronograph YC. Is my Nikon DSLR obsolete? :(

Absolutely great details. I was just about to buy a Nikon DSLR with macrolens. At least the macrolens I will postpone and wait what I can do with my (your) cliplens coming soon.

Nice shots and great results. However, the depth of field is quite limited and effects focal area. Depending on the camera, lighting may help that. It won't substitute for a Nikon DSLR and Micro-Nikkor lense but it does produce some beautiful images.

You are quite right, but for way less than a DSLR/Micro-lens setup and much less effort, I am amazed by what this little lens can do.

Here are some more macros of the PPC movement. All straight out of the camera. No processing, no extra setup with tripod or anything. Just point, focus and shoot!
