How to find out some details about my IWC?

If You know the way to find out any information about model, first owner, or any other interesting detail, please share it with me. I am not the collector, nor watch expert, but I have this watch in my family for at least 30 years and it still have its original wristband. I dont need more evidence about it's quality. Thank You for Your help.

you may want to check out the Vintage Catalog and the IWC Workbook.

your pic aren't too clear but these two sites should be able to help. my guess is that it is circa 1970s but I readily stand corrected.

The date-your-iwc site (moeb.on-rev.com/dyIWC/dyIWC.irev)
gives productiondate as probably 1978/79.

You could order an extract from the records for more information
