    Has anyone attempted to remove the fixed pin with a regular springbar? I would
    like to change up colors and straps.

    I believe removing the fixed bar would be an irreversible process, or at least
    very costly to do so. So, I would suggest working on the strap instead.

    If you do not like Nato type straps, you may consider having custom made
    straps like I did.
