I'm in Houston, where it seems to always be warm and humid. I'm doing some consulting in a manufacturing plant, and I just don't subject my IWC's to that kind of nastiness. So I'm wearing the watch I call "Mr. Impervious" today. Rubber strap, takes all manner of sweat, oil, dirt, etc, and when I bought it cost less than a good alligator strap. But if

I were at home, I'd definitely be wearing this one, which was on my wrist before I left home:

But Dick, isn't this EXACTLY what IWC's Ingenieur line is meant to handle? I think you should seriously consider getting one for your harsh environments. I would recommend this particular one (although its anti-magnetic properties probably aren't as good others in the family)... =P

The weather in Austin is not significantly different than what Dick is experiencing in Houston...warm and humid. I'm attending a meeting wearing my CFDV today!

    Thang - Great watch!

Arne - Love that vintage-look dial! I'd really like to see that Wempe BP in person.

    Aloha all -

The weather in Hawaii has been a bit hazy this week - still the best weather in the world as far as I'm concerned...

It's 90 and sunny here in Arizona.

I went up to las Vegas last week and added a second IWC. So, that is what is on my wrist today. I couldn't be happier with it.[i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b567/carraig2/IMG_0362_zpse33391d7.jpg](s1292.photobucket.com/user/carraig2/media/IMG_0362_zpse33391d7.jpg.html)

I've had it for 12 years or so. It was my second mechanical watch - shortly after a Mark XV. It has seen it's time in dozens, maybe hundreds, of hot, dirty, sweaty, and wet environments, never had service, and still works great. It is certainly not an IWC - not even close - but sure serves its purpose for me!
