Yes, I admit it Thang. I baby my IWC's. I do have an Ingenieur and an Aquatimer. Either will take those environments, but I simply don't expose my IWC's to that. I also don't swim with them - I even usually take them off when I wash my hands or wash the dishes for my wife. I figure, why risk a multi thousand dollar watch because an inexpensive seal might fail unexpectedly and without my knowledge?
Yes, I may be weird. But many or most of my watches get lots of wear but still look fairly new, and when I do choose to sell one, which I've done dozen of times to help fund new IWC's, people know they're going to get a watch that is in great condition and likely to be even better than I decsribed.
That may not work for everyone, but it fits my style and has worked well for me.
