My youngest son who is 23yo is off to London for a couple of years to advance his career in merchant banking and I took this shot of a watch his Mother and I gave him for his 21st birthday today whilst we were talking about his upcoming "adventure".
](He really likes this over a whole lot of options he had at the time and when I matched it to a good quality German mesh bracelet (this is the Portofino just prior to the in-house milanese mesh bracelet model) over the very nice leather band it came on, I think it took on a new personality for him and will be his work watch going forward.
And whilst only an entry level IWC, he thinks it has quite a lot of understated style about it - and I guess enjoying a watch is all about what it says to you personally.
He is the only one of my kids to have real enthusiasm for nice timepieces, both contemporary and vintage. So we have something to share.
