    Greetings,

I have an IWC gold wristwatch but I cannot identify the model. In online
searches I found similar models but none were exactly the same.

It belonged to a relative who left us in the meantime. I only have the
registration number (No. 102144) and the old receipt that proves that It was
purchased in 1946 with the gold bracelet shown in the photo.

My family was approached by a collector interested in buying this piece and
who offered a few hundred Euros. As I do not know the real value, I ask for
help to identify the model and eventual market value. I appreciate the
attention and help you can give us.

    Best regards

    Hi Fsampaio,

it is really hard to get detaills without having the movement number. Of
course you need to open the watch back to examine this number. Also the
registration number you provided doesnt help, I checked it for the case
numbers but your six digit nuber leads us to 1895 which cannot be for this
wrist watch. What is the diameter of the case ? What kind of gold is the case
14ct or 18ct? I guess the bracelet is not stamped with IWC.

If you know the material of case and bracelet you at least ca calculate the
minimum price from the weight of the gold.

    Dear Cromagnonman,

Many thanks for your reply. I will try to get some help to open the case to
    see the movement number.

    Nevertheless, thank you once again.

    Best regards,
