Identify IWC watch

I have inherited a IWC watch, but I cant figure what precise model it is or what year it was made. Can anyone help me.

I think I have narrowed it dowm to a iwc cal. 8531 pie pan 18k yellow gold, can anyone tell me if that is correct?

Looks correct. Photos of the inside of the case back and movement would tell the whole story.

Do you have any idea when it was made or other information about this type of watch. the only one i have found on the web that resemblance this watch, is a turlur IWC - Automatic yellow gold 18kt Turler dial

Probably produced during the early 1960s, though possibly a touch earlier. The serial number of the movement will allow more precise dating.
