The real stars of the IWC SIHH 2010 extravaganza are the new models. During the presentation session we were able to touch and feel most of the new models. Time was limited so I did not get photos of all the various models on display. I have included some shots in the display windows as well.

Following the touch and feel session, we had the rare opportunity to have a Q & A session with Herr Georges Kern. He touched on some of the opportunities and threats facing not only IWC, but also the whole industry. The discussion was very informative and much appreciated. I have to say Herr Kern was very direct and complimentary of the English forum.

I will report with pictures soon on the two English Forum dinners on Wednesday and Thursday nights where we were joined by Herr Pantli and Herr Klaus as well as some other IWC executives. I will also post pictures of the IWC booth and some candid photos of members attending SIHH 2010.

Once again I want to gratefully thank IWC for the honor to be invited to this exciting event.

    Cheers,

    Bill

A rare model we were able to share. This is the legendary Portuguese ref 325. It is owned by one of our Forum members. A very rare original Portuguese from 1939.

Great job Bill! Thanks so much! So how

did you like that "Missing' Aquatimer compared to your white dial piece?

    Like I have always thought . . . .

    Stunning-looking watch, but . . .

IMHO, putting Jones' signature on the dial detracts from the classic nature and good looks of the watch - why can't they put the Jones signature on the back of the case?

    Thanks Bill

Great to see you, and your photographs, are looking splendid on this cold, dark, January day here in Chicago. Thanks for brightening it up tremendously with your great photos.

The Web certainly is an amazing medium of communication.

Looks like all had a super time, and we were thinking of you stateside while you were all enjoying SIHH.
