This is a hand wound cal. 83.
If the movement starts with 10225XX, it dates from 1941.
The case hase original stamps from IWC.
From this caliber, about 65.000 have been made.
    Not so many have survived.

    Adrian,

I have more than one doubt if this watch is (fully) original.

Yes it is a "part" of an c 83. the bridge beside the crwon is not original, even what it has a (false IWC punch on it)

Case serial number wrong, even when there are lot of different IWC marks
    (Also not original correct).

Ok, the dial could be the dial of the original c83.

Sorry only on comment: beware hands off too much is not original/fake....

    Regards

I'm completely not in vintage watches but from what I have seen so far this one looks somehow odd to me too. Maybe someone put some old parts of different watches together to achieve a higher price.
The hands don't fit the dial.
The case seems not to be IWC and not fitting the dial or hands or watch.

I agree with my fellow Collectors here. Something seems amiss here.

Only way to know for sure, send it to Schaffhausen for certification and a a service.
