New member here. I've been looking for a vintage Ingenieur 666A for quite some
time, trying to find a nice example for a fair price. Almost all have lume on
the hands and dial; some of these are marked with "swiss" and some are marked
with "t-swiss-t". Ocassionnaly I've seen examples with no lume on either the
dial and hands, and again some are marked with "swiss" and at least one was
marked with "t-swiss-t". Initially I thought that the no-lume hands were
service replacements, but given that I've seen them with no-lume dials, I now
believe that they are original and correct. But the "t-swiss-t" can make it a
    little confusing.

Any thoughts on the existence of original 666A with no-lume are appreciated.

Lume or not is not a sure fire way to determine a redial...original dials with
hand kits devoid of lume can be found pre very early sixties, without date and
    teamed with calatrava batons..

    Thanks Catherine,

I wasn't really thinking redials, but service replacements. In any event, my
research has shown that (as you said) there are no-lume early examples,
akthough all the ones I've seen have dauphin hands, not batons.

Service replacement dials over the ages have not been designed to be a type or
even a mk 123456..787980. Schaffhausen in this regard are not rolex and some
collectors highlighting spa watches that have had a repaint surreptitously
squeeze their offering into the service replacement category, even though a
type was never company designated...bit of a mash-up truth be told but
subsequently because of this (%) 666's are the price of rolex air kings, every
    cloud.
