In past discussions here it has been established that the 301xx movements are ETA supplied and that Sellita supplied movements are only used in the Portofino line. Noticing the calibre of the Ingenieur Dual Time is 35720, I wonder if this is the first Sellita supplied movement outside the Portofino line. If the numbering logic is consistent, the 35720 looks to be based on the Portofino Automatic's 35110 with an added complication of dual time.

Anyone who can confirm or discard this hypothesis?

I believe it's a Sellita base, but I think the dual time complication may be from another firm. I'll check, and if I learn more I'll report here.

    Thanks, Michael!

I wouldn't be surprised if the dual time complication is IWC inhouse. If I'm not mistaken, the practice of adding inhouse complications to externally supplied base movements has been used by IWC before.

I think information on this particular movement would be interesting.

90% of the components in the dual-time module are identical to those used in the older UTC calibres 37526 + 30710.
Based on this, without official confirmation, I would presume the module is in-house.

In the latest catalogue on the web it states:

"In 1998, Kurt Klaus developed a particularly user-friendly world time module for the first UTC Pilot's Watch, which was further improved for the Pilot's Watch Worldtimer and again for the Ingenieur Dual Time in the current collection."

So it looks like an in house complication to me.

I have read the same, HVDG, but has anyone from IWC confirmed this? I thought the 3244 had/has an ETA 2893-2 with ETA's own GMT-module.

However, if you read about the world timer complication (p.35 in the 2015/2106 catalogue), one gets the impression that the World Timer (Pilot) and the 3244 uses the same module.
