I would welcome any comments on an IWC wristwatch I have inherited. Case
serial number is 1082524 and movement number is 1043898. DateyourIWC applet
suggests a cal.62 from 1942. Keeping time but last service timeframe unknown.
The crown does not correspond to anything I can find on the web so suggest
    incorrect for this watch. Thanks

You have definitively a cal 62 from 1942, but the crown is not correct .

It might come from a small pocket watch or no IWC at all.

If you google 'IWC, cal. 62' you will see that most cal. 62 watches had a flat
    crown, close to the case.

    Regards,

    Adrian,

I don't know much about antique watches, but the mechanical movement from your
    watch is such a beauty!
