Inspired by the Big Pilot....

Sometimes the designers of IWC can inspire other people to realize their own dream. Hubert Pellikaan always has been an huge fan of IWC pilot watches and especially the Big Pilot. He has long been dreaming of designing a watch for himself and last year he finally realised his dream and build his own watch. A lot of IWC case design DNA combined with a rather minimalistic and easy to read dial. Michael, I hope it's OK to show the result next to the watch that inspired him so much....

Interesting story Norbert...

I looked up the Pelikaan story and found that Hubert Pelikaan is a fan of clearly legible watches. Personally, I think that the BP and the Portuguese Automatic have a dial that is easier to read than the watch Hubert designed.

Inspiring back

I kind of like the Pellikaan, maybe IWC could mold both the watches into one, a nice hand-wound Pilot's watch with some Big Pilot looks. But I do not need to complain, I wear the watch that comes a long way to that direction.
