Is it a special edition or a collectors?

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a IWC watch and have no idea what type of watch it is and
everywhere I have been searching is leading me to a dead end.. I have
contacted IWC and have given them the serial number and they come up with
nothing, they said that's because it's either a special edition or a older
model, so I am hoping that everyone here would be able to help me with this
mission.. I will give a description because I tried to upload pictures and I
can't seem to do it.. the band 18k white gold with diamonds, it has a black
onyx rectangle face with a diamond bezel.. please let me know what you come up
with.. thanks in advance!

Without pics it is hard to help you..

but if IWC can't give you info, I doubt if we can here.. what you discribe
white gold with diamonds is not common at IWC, so I' m very curious.

Well, this link shows only a small time slot and it contains many IWC watches
with diamons etc. and other slots will show much more of those diamond models.

watch.. if I can email the pictures of the watch to someone so they can post
them I would greatly appreciate it because I have been having a problem

Here are your Pictures

From the Case Number 2181741, I can determine that the watch dates to
approximately 1977 to 1978.

I found a similar cased watch, Ref 7422 in a 1979 Catalogue
