page. I seem some resemblance to St Ex, but no "A" on the dial. I have not seen a BP PP St Ex before.

Isn't it the LE rose gold Bucherer BP Perp.?

I downloaded the picture to see more details, but it doesn't reveal much. What is a FB page?

    Kind regards,
Paul, wearing steel VC Pilot's watch

If so, I hope they leave off the cute little North/South airplane-style indicators that they have on the regular BP Perpetual and replace them with something more traditional.

Pre-SIHH there was talk about a St-Ex PC BP >>>

....which I fully expected to see in GVA.

Although there is no "A" on the dial on the watch shown on Facebook, the numbers look like the previous St-Ex models.

More info on a new St. Ex BP PC

Posted today on the Beverly Hills IWC Boutiques Facebook page in response to my question about this, heretofore, rumored new St. Ex Perpetual Calendar BP. I asked if it is new and where is the "A" insignia.

WC Boutique Beverly Hills: It's the Saint Exupery Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar, the A is on the rotor and you can see it through the transaprent back. The waiting list is open, do not hesitate...

Looks good, a different set of numerals and...

hands seem to be the only real difference along with a variant on the north/south facing planes. Also minute markers are shown as numbers in some cases. Otherwise pretty much the BPP.

You shouldn't post this where Richard Sheridan >

can see it Bill. He will not be able to sleep for days!

The P38 Lightning N/S Indicators Are Clever...

... since that airplane has a relationship to St. Exupery.

    I like it!

According to the watch dial it is Saturday...

May 12, 2010. But May 12 is a Wednesday. Photoshopped picture?

You can pre-order it at the BH Boutique...

They had a picture of this model and a few others that will be delivered to the Boutique sometime in December.

    Actually those aren't P-38s…

    Hi Tracy -

Those are actually F-5s. The F-4 and F-5 were the photoreconnaissance versions of the P-38 fighter. St. Ex disappeared on a mission in a F-5. (My dad flew the F-4s and F-5s in the C-B-I Theatre.)

Nice catch on that little touch: I hadn't noticed that myself. The planview of the plane from above is kind of neat, isn't it?

    Regards,

    OCD
