Watch from my grandmother. Wondering whether it is an IWC based on what I have read online. Would love to solve the mystery.
Thanks

Hello Laura
could be an IWC, to be sure, we should see the inside.
That is a gorgeous vintage ladies watch all the same
It’s so small & dainty I was nervous to open it. The inside still moves beautifully. Thanks for the help so far
Hi Laura,
Sorry the watch is not an IWC, the movement appears to be a Rotary Calibre 450 as depicted in La Classification Horlogere 1939
And a comparision
Stauffer, who owned the Peerless trademark were no longer the IWC distributors for the UK sometime before 1936 as shown in this cover of "Watch and Clock Maker" - September 1936
Note the Stauffer advertisment at the top and the Edwin Harrop/IWC advertisment further down to the left.
A very nice watch to keep in the family.
Hope this helps.
Cheers from the cellar
I wish we had more of these expert views as stated by Greg Steer!
Cheers to the cellar,
