It is quite unfortunate that I just discovered again - quite dishearteningly at this thread - https://www.iwc.com/member/forum/display.asp?id=213433

This image you have posted several times on this forum had been altered to remove my watermark and copyright notice. The image you posted is clearly shown in its original state in the link to my blog below.

As a watch enthusiast I can understand the desire to download and keep images but to use it as you had done is against my moral rights to retain the image intact and unaltered.

It is quite unfortunate that such practices in the end discourages others to share their photographs and in the end everyone looses. It is such practices that results in having to watermark my images right across the image - which is a great shame really.

Accordingly please remove the offending image and refrain from posting any of my images in the altered state.

It is not my intention to dampen the enthusiasm and enjoyment of IWC watches but the level of disappointment of seeing how my image had been altered was difficult to swallow without taking some action.

Harry, why don't you PM him? I think...

... there is no bad intention and the 'alteration of the watermark' is just hiding plain text, which he probably did because of the beauty of your pictures!

Anyway, these are YOUR pictures so at least it is good practice to mention the source! And, Harry, your pictures are absolutely stunning so please keep them coming!

By the way, when I read the title of your mail I thought he had PhotoShopped your Jubilee picture into a Jubilee with a 24-hour dial. That thought really scared me, but Isobars is a man of good taste (he owns a Jubilee) ,-)

Best regards, a fan of yours,

    Bob

Why not address this by email? >>

Isobars is a gentleman and would have responded without such a public display.

My regrets if anyone was offended...

I did not realise that I could email isobars (or anyone here) as I had not known how to locate his email address until just now. I only just discovered that the email address is linked to the nicknames.

In any case, Isobars, I appreciate your prompt attention to this. Most appreciated and grateful.
