    Dear Friends,

I am posting this only because there have been so much written and so many posts about blue watches, and about rectangular watches, over the past few months.

Michael, if I am out of line please feel free to delete this post!

Little did I know that my next IWC was to be - not an IWC!! As many of you do, I also have an affinity for blue watches. In addition I do think the rectangular ones are really cool - well at least some of them - and this one in particular:

I have been looking for the Steve McQueen TAG re-edition, famous from his "Le Mans" movie, for years. I finally found it online for a reasonable price a few weeks ago :o)

As many of you know, most of my watches are sports watches, but my "dressy" alligator section is growing (yippeee). This blue one looks good next to it's black brother:

But they both pale in comparison to the jewel and centerpiece of my collection :o)

Now, my next investment will be an IWC - I promise!!!

Well, I am not so into the Monaco, but I agree that it would be nice for IWC to have a rectangular watch series. Of course it will not be a bestseller line, but it adds to the variety. And the challenge to find out what would make a rectangular watch series a bestseller line might reveal information that is useful otherwise. Look for "finestra" in the past posts to see my favourite rectangular watch, it is not an IWC.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

Skule, between your 3 watches, I will take your rose gold PPC any time. Maybe I am biased but the PPC is a class above the other two. Just my opinion.

I couldn't agree more KS - in fact if I had to get rid of all of my watches except for one - the PPC would be the keeper without a doubt!! Honestly, it is a couple of classes above the TAGs here!!

On the other hand - variation makes life interesting :o)

While I like both blue dials and non-round watches, and I like your Monacos, the IWC stands head and shoulders above. It is just a beautiful watch.

The PPC is a keeper, the Tags are another matter, never been on my wish list, no explanation just don't go for them. Each to their own.

The PPC is my "grail" watch. Suffice to say I appreciate your photo of yours between the other two in your collection!
