Some weeks ago, I made a post about square IWC models in my collection.
I am very happy I could find another one to add to that collection, the ref
3279.
It is a bit of a special one, not only a patented closing mechanism for the
case and a special bracelet, I believe unique to this watch, but also for the
caliber.
The cal 3254 was a JLC based movement, chosen because it was slimmer than the
own cal 8541. After some time, in 1984 ,the cal 3254 was updated to the ref
3258, with main difference the added fine regulator.
The case is 32 x 40 mm and only 7,5mm high and very comfortable to wear
with the bracelet.
Any other collectors have one ?
