until this watch would be on my wrist.
Now it is there, in exchange for another brand :-)
Probably my most modern watch :-)

classic IWC....
it was this watch that first made me notice IWC years ago. wear it in good health.

When the 3712 came out in the mid-1990s....
...it was a very important watch, and really the first of the modern Portugiesers (given that the Jubilee by and large was a recreation of a classic model). It was a gutsy move -a large dress chronograph, with a rattrapante function....and a hand wound without a date. There was nothing like it on the market.
Soon the less expensive, automatic 3714 without rattrapante debuted, and it sold even better --and eventually the 3712 was history. But it is a great watch, as well as historically important in my opinion. And perhaps somewhat over-looked today.
A great acquisition, my compliments.
Congratulations Heiko...
It's a stunning beauty. Wear her in good health!
congrats and greetings from her sister openheart
Heiko you caught a timeless, elegant and magnifsant masterpiece with a beautiful complication, thanks to Richard Habring.
I love her blue hands very much, too.
My wife doesn't like it, when I am wearing my 3712 the other way round...LOL,
meanwhile she has annected my rattrapante...
welcome to the club
Best wishes
Thorsten
PS: Heiko but this modern watch will lower your average age of your watches...:-)
the last time worn on my arm
Congratulations Heiko, it looks super, very nice >
picture too BTW!
Wear it in great health.
Nice pickup. One of the best dials. nt
Thanks Michael for the additional infos
about this watch with a very special case.
The "rehaut" is progressive. All other IWC I know, have a degressive "rehaut".
This is an important fact, because it makes this watch bigger, but it is very comfortable to wear, like a smaller one.
Indeed a great watch.
Greetings
Heiko
Thanks to all for your wishes and your interest.
Hi Nicky, I miss your faboulos photos

Heiko, that is indeed a fantastic looking watch. Those blue steeled hands make it absolutely classic. Welcome to the world of "less older" watches.....soon youy might get one under 10 years of age too!
