It's a slow Friday today and what better to do than take some pictures....

It is a slow Friday in Philadelphia and I went back to the basement for a bit of relaxation and photo work. I have not had this St. Exupéry Power Reserve Model out of the safe for over two years and had nearly forgotten it entirely.

Getting the dial color right is a very difficult task. The iridescent brown dial is very striking when light bounces off of it. The case is 44 mm.

Enjoy the limited edition St. Ex, reference 3201 from 2007. There were 1,178 made in SS, 500 in RG and 250 in WG.

A couple of years ago I was picked up a St. Exupéry Polo shirt, but even though it is an XL, it does not fit my wide body. It too has lingered unworn in my closet.

The St. Ex came in the usual black leather box, but it also came with a copy of the Antoine de Saint Exupéry book “Südkurier”.

You captured the brown dial beautifully! That is one of my favorite IWC pilot watches and it was fun to see these excellent photos. I love it when you have a "slow" day...all of us seem to benefit! :>)

Bill, firstly thanks for posting these "slow Friday" shots - great pics all of them, but in all honesty that lume shot blows me away - Wow!

2 years is a long time for such a beauty to be hidden away - I say, go on be bold and give it some wrist time. At 44mm you could just carry that watch boldly! LOL

Secondly, your slow Friday pics, have caused me to go out today and get a small fold up photo studio with lamps, and this afternoon I"ll try to get one or two photos worthy of your and Clemens appreciation, of some new additions to the collection here this last 2 weeks. I'll post tonight, if we get some worthwhile shots.

First thanks for the compliment, but maybe all you need is a basement and a slow day. LOL.

Second, I just looked at the posted shots again and the first one seems to be slightly out of focus...look at the "5". But, when I go back to the original picture itself, it is fine. I wonder what happened? Is it Photobucket or the Forum. Strange.
