    Hi

I just bought this watch and it seems the AR coating is missing? At least it is very hard to see and no blue color.  The watch came as complete set and was inspected by an AD and validated as gen. but without opening the case though.

For me no AR is fine (no scratches) and if I decide otherwise I can get a replacement crystal I guess.

Can anyone tell me if some 3717 were produced without AR or if the AR is simply polished off due to scratches?
Alternatively could this be a less visible AR coating?

    Br Jesper

The 3717 comes with AR coating, which is not blue and it doesn't mean there's no reflection by the crystal. Of course there is, but reflections are reduced.

The color of reflection is seen only at a a fairly acute angle, not 90 degrees, or perdendicular, to the crystal.  The color of refleciton should be a light blue, but it's faint.  If the prior owner had the crystal replaced, it might not be AR coated.  A non-coated crystal is cheaper.
