    Hi IWC and community,

I ordered a Ceratanium Doppel Chrono in December 2019 from my AD located in
    Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

Its been almost 6 months and no word from either IWC or my AD (no clear answer
from AD since communication with the manufacture is scarce)

I know Ceratanium is hard to make, but i've seen on instagram some pieces
arriving to Asian Market. The thing is, since the watch is already paid in
full before hand, dont we get some priority?

Any official word on why the delay?

    Thanks again for reading me.

    Sincerely, Jorge Borbolla.

Hello Jorge and welcome to the forum. I was down your way (Cozumel) in
February to get a couple Aquatimers wet, one of my favorite destinations. The
    Ceratanium Doppel is an amazing
watch, I was fortunate to see it at SIHH 2019 and have thought long and hard
about it myself. Yes, the Ceratanium is difficult to work with and will have
some delay in production, especially given the current COVID-19 situation and
reduced working hours over the last several months. You may try calling the
North American concierge line for online and phone orders +1 855 202
    9057
    - they may be able to find out when ceratin
    product
is scheduled to be delivered to the North American market. I know it is
frustrating but everything from sales to service has been slowed down and
repairs are coming back much delayed as well.

Best lof luck and I look forward to seeing some great photos posted here...

Hi Ben, thanks for your kind reply. I agree Cozumel is one of the nicest
places to get an aquatimer to!

As for my Doppel, I think im gonna call the North American concierge to see if
its any help. I dont mind waiting but i would like to know the status or the
process to have an estimate time of delivery.

    Regards!,

    JB.

I'm in the exact same situation.

frustrating that the iwc communication doesn't work. Zero information of the
status and even the AD can't get any information at all. It's not what you as
    customer and collector would expect.

so i guess improvement area for othervise a perfect company...

Gents, you have ordered greast watches.

Now, timing is everything - and unfortunately we have to accept that like so
many companies, IWC too has been severely impacted by the measures forced on
them by this Covid 19 pandemic. I am not an IWC employee neither affiliated in
any way directly with the company - but like you guys, am a passionate
customer of the brand. So please believe me when I tell you that our friends
in Schaffhausen are working hard at trying to bring things back to "normal"
and I am sure that they too are as frustrated as you are, on seeing the
delays. I'm sure too, that they will continue to strive to get that watch(es)
of ours out the manufactury as soon as possible.

    Our patience will be rewarded.

Hang in there.... your watches will come and they will be great!

I agree with Mark's comment above. These are indeed extraordinary times.

I sent my Portuguese 7 Days in for service prior tp the Covid enforced
lockdown. My Boutique informed me that the watch had arived at the repair
facility, but there was no-one there to work on it.

Jump forward 3 months and I received an email from my Boutique representative
on Friday that the repair was completed, they were going to courier my watch
to my house at no charge and that I will receive it on Monday.

I was happy when it arrived yesterday along with a Father's day card and a
small gift. I think this is a sign of the company trying very hard to make the
    best of a bad situation.

I am sorry you have to wait to receive your recent purchases, but I am sure
they will arrive in time and it will be worth the wait.

    Hi everyone, its me again.

Well, its been over 7 months now, it seems that communication with IWC doesnt
work for any of the representatives in each country. I was in touch with a
instagram guy from Sweden who also paid his Ceratanium in full and havent
received any replys or status on his watch. He said that even the Swedish
representative couldnt get any info from Schaffhausen, just like the
    representative from my country Mexico.

Now, Im not the kind of guy who complains for everything, and I actually dont
mind waiting. But am I exagerating for wanting just a little heads up of whats
going on? Maybe an e-mail from IWC would be fine saying "hey, we are working
on your watch, be patient" just something to let me know its coming my way.

But, no. complete silence, I've tried all channels, instagram, e-mail, forums,
my AD. I went as far as to DM IWC Mexico and CEO Chris Gainger. No replys
    whatsoever.

Anyway, I'm so close on asking for a refund but just dont know yet. I just
    like the Doppel so much.

Thanks for listening, keep you guys posted.

    Jorge B.

Sorry to hear about your situation.

By now the least they could have done was acknowledge your order and that it
    was being processed.

In my mind there is no excuse for this type of conduct by any concern under
    any circumstances.

I would be inclined to cancel. If you still want the item later; replace the
    order after communication are normalized.

Update: Country manager contacted me but without much help. He said the
typical: is a scarce production piece and he will let me know "in case they
    receive more pieces"?

    What?

So let me get this straight.

If I pay for a IWC piece the order is shipped to where it was paid. It's not
like Im hopefully waiting in case IWC decides to ship more to my country.

    Am I missing something?

Yes, coordination is what you miss.

Perhaps you can address the moderator of this forum.

I expect he can guide you in this .

    Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that after 11 months of wait, I finally got my
    watch!

I'm beyond thirlled, it is everything I expected to be and more. From the
size, the color, the dial and the weight, it ticks all boxes for me.

I considered trading the funds for some other piece, but I'm glad I waited.
I'll post some really quick iPhone pictures.

Edit: for some reason I cannot upload the pictures.
