I have an IW5029-02 that is fitted with a bead blasted stainless steel deployment buckle that somewhat looks like it belongs on the watch but has me wondering if it really does.

Are all Top Guns like this or was there a titanium buckle that matches the crown and case back?

It seems a bit odd to have a ceramic case, titanium crown/case back, and then a SS buckle. Possibly a black DLC or PVD buckle finish would have been a better choice if they weren't going to do one in titanium.

    Thanks in advance.

My IW5029-02 has the "bead blasted" steel deployant as does my friend's IW3880 and my former IW3799-01 also came with a bead blasted tang buckle.

So I would say that that is what the Top Gun line is equipped with from Schaffhausen.

I think it looks fine. It provides excellent contrast with the strap and unless you're really looking for it, the difference in hue in comparison to crown is marginal.

Thank you very much for confirming that. I had seen some that looked like they might be Ti so I wonder if they changed it towards the end of the run. Mine is an earlier one.
