IWC 1970's Quartz - Collectable?

    Any opinions on this IWC, is it rare, collectable??

    This one definitely has a 70s look that may appeal to some. The dial appears to be a nice blue but I am not sure how sought after these quartz IWCs are. Better not show this to Jarrod, though - I hear he's into quartz. I bet he's already drooling over Ralph's Yacht Club II;)

    It depends on de definition of collectable. I don't think that quartz watches have a significant value when compared to mechanical watches. But that in itself may be of interest to the collectors of these watches. They represent a dramatic period in the watch industry, and their look has that special "in between" feel to it. But that look is shared with the mechanical watches of that period, which most collectors prefer.
